You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Cairo and driven to Alexandria. Visit Pompey’s Pillar, built in honor of Emperor Diocletian, and explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa,

the largest Roman cemetery carved into the rock. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, and

the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina. In the evening, return to your hotel in Cairo
